A rendering question
Rendering a 100k stream wmv file thats 45 mins long (41mb). I have a 4200 dual core amd, usually it renders in close to real time. This computer is offline and nothing was open but vegas 6. I closed the preview window before starting because I heard it will go faster.This file was the first I ever color corrected, it took 10 hours to render.When I checked system resources both cores were rendering at around 57%. Did it take that long because I color corrected and is there a way to get the cores to work at 100% ?For color correction I was using the tools in vegas not magic bullet.

Color correction CAN add a lot of render time depending on what you’ve applied.

No.
What do you have your RAM allocation set to? Try setting it to 16 before rendering and see if it goes faster.

that was the problem i had the ram set to half the ram on my system 1 gig. I had changed it after I watched a tutorial. it dawned on me i didnt have this problem before. so i put it back to 64 now it rocks again,maybe not having a clue has its merits lol
