Select all the subtitles you want to reformat. Right-Click the reference subtitle an choose ‘Apply Formatting to Selected Events’>

You could add a touch of blur either to the whole frame (easy) or use a mask for the problem area (a lot more work).

You should have a little room after the last event.
In any case,try moving the last event to the right, then back again, and see if that clears some work space.

I believe that the VX-200 simply masks the top and bottom, so rehglar DV is what you are shooting and should also be your project setting.
