I think you are making it harder than it needs to be. Just cross fade between the white version and the blue one.

[Allen Zagel] ” But in the evening at the hotel, I can capture the video to my portable external laptop”
If you are shooting from a stationary position, you could also capture straight to the hard drive as it’s happening 🙂

AFAIK, Sony’s policy continues to be that you can install it on multiple computers, but can only use one at a time (execpt for network rendering).

The thumbnails are not accurate to each frame unless you are zoomed in enough to see every frame. Are you zoomed in far enough?
Other thoughts:
For frame accurate trimming, use the ten-key trimming method on the numeric keypad. 7 or 9 gets you into trim mode for the in or out point on the selected event. 1 and 3 trims one frame at a time.
Also, Holding the alt key when you hit the left and right arrows gets you to one-frame cursor movement regardless of the timeline zoom. (I reprogram the keyboard so I don’t have to hold the Alt key).

It’s a lot easier in Vegas 7.
Go to Options>Preferences>Display and check Dock windows at top of main window. I also suggest checking Position tabs at top.Gary Kleiner

Sure, just change the Project Media view to Detailed, then click on the column headers to sort.

How about dragging up from the bottom of the window the same way you resize windows in the maininterface? You have to catch it in the right zone, so hover the mouse cursor ’till you see the two horizontal lines with the up/down arrows.

You probably just need to expand the window a bit. Drag it out from the bottom right corner.

You could make the dash out of generated media (solid color)and use a keyframed pan/crop to set the starting dimensions and the apparent zoom in.

[seatlanta] “Can you recommend a legitimate Web dealer?”
I get them either from Meritline or Shop4tech.
