I’m puzzled by the thumbnails that appear on the time line. With the current project I can zoom in onto the time line & use the right left arrows to select the exact frame on which to cut. What I’m finding is that the thumbnail that represents the left side of my cut is of the of the first frame to the right of my cursor. I don’t expect that this situation to change before I finish this project but it would be nice to know if other ever had this problem & that caused it in the first place.

    Thanks in advance

The thumbnails are not accurate to each frame unless you are zoomed in enough to see every frame. Are you zoomed in far enough?

    Other thoughts:

For frame accurate trimming, use the ten-key trimming method on the numeric keypad. 7 or 9 gets you into trim mode for the in or out point on the selected event. 1 and 3 trims one frame at a time.

Also, Holding the alt key when you hit the left and right arrows gets you to one-frame cursor movement regardless of the timeline zoom. (I reprogram the keyboard so I don’t have to hold the Alt key).

I’m definitely zoomed in far enough that I’m moving just one frame at a time. The thing is that never before when zoomed in at that level had I seen a thumbnail displayed on the time line for a frame that does not appear in that left hand clip anymore.

    Thanks in advance
