The Media Generator has two cloud presets under NoiseGenerator.
Drag one to he timeline and strect it to the duration you need.

Double-click the media and hit q to turn on looping playback. Start playback and hit the edit nedia button (topmost of the 3 buttons on the right edge of the media).

At the bottom of the dialog box that opens is the keyframe controller.

Click at the right end of the keyframe timeline and make an adjustment to one of the variables such as Offset (making changes will automatically create a keyframe). The looping playback will show you how the media changes over time.

I have shot many things using a Sony VX2000 and I have never seen a problem when rendering the final edit to wmv, so I am thinking that you are making it more complicated than it needs to be.

The real question is the “artifacts” you are seeing. How are you viewing the video at that point? What are your project properties? Preview setting?

Work in DV AVI until you are ready for your final render. Then, render to wmv or whatever.

You can try the Deform FX,or actually angle the video in 3D space using Track Motion in 3D source Alpha mode.

Put the different video images on their own track, then size and place them using track motion.

Fade in and out using the usual fades and color with the color corrector tools.
