You need to render it as a new file by creating a time selection and checking the Render Loop Region Only option in the render dialog.

Create regions around the separate sections you want to render, then go to Tools >Batch Render and check the Render Regions button.
Open the Windows Media tree and select what flavor of wmv you want.
Click OK, then go to bed.

You can delete the audio that goes with the video, then add your other audio,or you can add it as a second audio track.

Create a menu with a picture compliation for each category. Once selected, you can jump to any photo by selecting its number (based on number within the group)on the remote.

Save the first project, then place it on the new timeline as a nested veg. Select it, then run Tools > Scripting> Promote Media Markers.

It certainly is a conundrum, but it appears to be only happeining with your receiver. If it plays fine in all other situations, you should be fine.
