Activity Forums VEGAS Pro Quick question on importing media

  • Quick question on importing media

Posted by Phatpug on April 12, 2007 at 4:59 pm

A while back when I was learning Vegas, I viewed some tutorials on how to use the program. I noticed the guy was able to add media to the time line with video, but no audio by doing something. I never found out how. Are you just supposed to hold a certain key down? I guess at the same time I may as well ask, is there a way to import audio without the video?

I just want to know because it would save me some time rather than right clicking the audio or video track and deleting it.

    Thanx for you time.

Right-click as you drag to the timeline and you can choose audio only or video only.

As there are many different ways to do things in Vegas; I like to hit enter and send my event to the trimmer first, then select the part I want, then if you cycle thru with the tab key you can have either both, or just the audio, or video. Then I drag it to the timeline.
