Theoretically, you would loose some quality compared to rendering the Mpeg from an earlier generation and/or original material. However, the difference may well be negligible in the real world.

Best way to tell is to do some test renders.

[Ted Snow] “When placing the 4 nodes…place two of them close together at the beginning of the sequence and two nodes close together at the end”

.. or you can do this with one click with Excalibur’s 4-Points tool 🙂

    Export: Tools>Scripting> Render Image Sequence.

    Import:File>Import>Media> check import media sequence.

    To expands on Don’s post:

Insert an envelop by selecting the track header and hitting the v key. Place the nodes by double-clicking on the blue line that appears.

Well, you could export as a frame sequence and touch up the frames individually, but obviously that will take a LOT of time.

I do believe that there is software that is designed to do what you are after (just don’t know what that is). Try poking around on the web.

    [DouglyStyles] “i just went from 256megs (2 x 128) of ram to 640 megs (1 X 128 and 1 x 512)…”

Many motherboards require matched pairs of RAM sticks. That could be your problem.

Try to troubleshoot by rendering a different section of the project and see if you get the same result.

You have been working on a project for 11 months and only have one version ?! Not a wise way to work.

If your files are on an external drive, it can be a communication problem or other drive problem. You can try copying the media to a different drive.

OK, this is a secret, so don’t tell anyone because messing with the internal prefes can get you into trouble.

Open prefs while holding the shift key and you will see a tab labeled Internal.

Change ‘frame dock at the top’ to TRUE.
