Loading projects
I have recently finished a huge project on Vegas 6.0 (version 6.0.0.99), but now cannot load the project file. It begins to load, gets to 41% and then all I get is a ‘not responding’ pop-up. Why is this? All my smaller projects load up, but I cannot load any project over about 600kb. PLease help as I’ve been working on the video since January

sadly thats the only one I have. I’ve just tried loading up the backup project file and I can get a little further. It loads to 100% and I am able to locate all my files, but then it freezes and I have to shut down the program. Its really frustrating me!

You have been working on a project for 11 months and only have one version ?! Not a wise way to work.
If your files are on an external drive, it can be a communication problem or other drive problem. You can try copying the media to a different drive.

The popup is likely coming from the OS, not Vegas. Somewhere in your project media list there is a pointer to media that is no longer accessible to the program. An external drive, for example.

Thanks for all the help guys, but i’ve managed to load up the project with all the media offline and then added the clips individually. Thats the only way this is going to work it seems. I’m still having some problems loading up some avi files though, is there a pack of codecs that might solve this problem?
