Hi there, newbie user so please bear with me.

I’ve inserted a mp3 track and want to reduce volume of this track where I want some speeches to be heard. I only seem to be able to adjust the volume of the entire track and not certain sections. How do I do it? TIA.

    Regards,
    Nash

insert a volume envelope in the track and place 4 nodes (points) where you need to lower the volume pul the level to where you need it(generally around -12db but its up to you)and you’re set to go.

    To expands on Don’s post:

Insert an envelop by selecting the track header and hitting the v key. Place the nodes by double-clicking on the blue line that appears.

When placing the 4 nodes…place two of them close together at the beginning of the sequence and two nodes close together at the end…then pull down the center part. This will create a “dip” in the volume.

.. or you can do this with one click with Excalibur’s 4-Points tool 🙂
