January 30, 2022 at 5:28 pmHow much longer could you stretch out making this decision? We’re in this weird purgatory with the Apple transition to their M1 chips. All the Mac Pro desktop models are currently Intel, but I wouldn’t doubt we’d see some confirmation on where that’s going with the Apple Arm chip before the end of the year, though it’s possible it would be 2023 before you could actually obtain one.
If you want to stick with Intel, waiting until an M1 Mac Pro is announced might also benefit you from a pricing perspective.

January 30, 2022 at 5:23 pmBoth the EVF-V70 and the EVF-V50 are great options for the C300 Mark III. The choice between the two would come down to how you plan to mount the camera on your person. The V50 works well if you want to run the C300 like a DSLR, holding it up to your face with the camera body in front of you. The V70 form factor works best for shoulder-mounting.

July 8, 2019 at 11:32 pmHas Premiere added a setting to utilize the proxy files for exporting? Last time I did a proxy workflow, that was not the case (“Use Previews” in the encoder window is not the setting for that). So every time you export out of Premiere with a proxy workflow, it is utilizing the original media for that export.
Also, where did this 4K originate from? A Sony A6500? A GH5 in 400Mbps Intra? A Red Scarlet? A Fuji X-T3?

June 29, 2019 at 6:35 pm[Andy Field] “lets hope they put some ports back in USB – SD Drive — HDMI out.”
It would be a stupid move for Apple to add USB-A ports for a 2019 laptop.

April 25, 2019 at 6:13 pm[Dudley Clarke] “I had thought that their might have been a simple filter which could be used to process that look, but from your response it is more than some post filming processing.”
You can do the toy effect in post, it can be hard to tell the difference, but to the overall question, no, there is not merely some “simple filter”. It takes work, and this opening sequence probably took many hours to put together.

April 25, 2019 at 6:10 pm[Blaise Douros] “To be clearer, I probably should have said “expose it darker.””
Yes, I understood that, but noise is not just a function of ISO, it’s also a function of starving the sensor of light. So if you don’t want noise, you should expose properly and then pull down exposure in post.

April 23, 2019 at 8:58 pmIt’s only a viewable LUT, it does not impact your image at all.

April 23, 2019 at 8:36 pmIf you underexpose your image you will get noise. Best thing to do is to use underexposing as a guide, but shoot properly exposed, then underexpose in post.
