There is nothing that says you need to have 2 Drives in the unit at the same time to make it work, the Rack unit works fine with a single module installed. Normally it would take about 30 few seconds to unmount the drive, remove it then replace with a new drive in the Original Unit, whereas the Rack mount would be able to switch drives in about 3 seconds by pushing the Slot button twice ( one to unmount drive A, the second to mount drive B)

H.264 files are not supported by the Kona TV app.
That App is based around Quicktime and not Core Media so only “Native QT” files will playout of the Kona TV app.
You can drop those files into an FCPX or PPro Timeline and hit then get realtime playback.

USE the express card slot!
– Non Sony USB readers are not qualified for use with 64G SxS cards.

First off it is not a “technique” as in trick.
This is the way the film projectors have worked since Edison, and it has been mimiced in the digital world and a simple search of Cinema Projection or PsF would bring up the info, since you seem to not believe.

Something you have is NOT working – I use the 64G cards all day long on Alexas and am not having any issues. Just to check I poped one into an F3 and recorded without incident as Sony SxS. I am not having issues here.

Yes they do. There are both Blue SxS and lower quality Orange SxS cards from Sony and they do need to have firmware updates not only on the cards, but in the cameras and the working OS also to accomodate the changes in the recording proceedures.
This is NOT a drive issue, my guess is that this is incompatible firmware on one or more of your devices, My UDF and SxS drivers are from FEB 2012, and they now allow for Thunderbolt connections

Since the T-Tap is expected to be using the IoXT device driver for output, I am going to go back to the old Bob and say “Audio follows Video” otherwise we run into the issues of the past when routing audio.gary adcock

The issue is you need to update both the SxS cards driver and the firmware on the card.
Your Camera’s firmware may also need updating to support the larger card- that was the case on the EX series cameras when the 64G cards came out.gary adcock
