now that we are talking style and icons :
i noticed that resolve install a bunch of icons is the OS application folder such as start server , stop server and a couple more …those icons are wayyyy low resolutions and really stands out on the new lion Launchpad …

anyone else noticed that ?

really sascha ?

i just finished 2h 10 min project , all RED 4K , in just one project , contained on the same database that contain others 20 projects …no issue , it open and save the project in 10 seconds …
i have 24GB or RAM and only resolve installed though …2RedRocket , 3GTX470 …

ps:using save timeline thumbnails with the project helps a lot

i am quite sure that is not possible to render a QT with pulldown is resolve …

the only way to get 3/2 pulldown is out of the SDI signal….

yes 8.1 have that function , you can decide to render full or scaled

ps:chris: out of curiosity how do you check if the rendered QT is scaled or full ? because sometimes some system interpret the YUV as scaled but they actually are full….

you can output full range YUV or DPX and be totally done for broadcast , since others system along the line will scale on the SDI like resolve does ,

for example if you render out scaled DPX to a flame system or smoke , flame will scale again on the sdi so it will be double scaled (washed out ) , so there no only 1 way to do it ….

i forgot to say also : curves bigger !!

i really think that the ~ (tilda) solution that bring full screen the tabs would be ideal for curves as well …

i always resize the node window every time i open the project …

also now that we are talking interface settings : i would love to have the possibility to expand to fullscreen the node graph window and the animation window as well as the file browser etc… by pressing 1 keyboard button ,

All adobe products does this : pressing the ~ (tilda) button every tab goes full screen , and pressing it again goes back normal … this would be very very useful for node graph , animation and file browser window ….

as sascha said ..
in the conform page you can’t scale and animate …

but for me the main issue is that client ask me to playback the offline on the client monitor all the time , plus they ask me to playback offline and online side by side … i guess because base light does it , so they “”pretend”” that every system does it …

i honestly like the idea …
so i would love to have the offline playback on the big screen side by side with the online …either using the playheads or using the Ref offline engine …

i asked to the davinci team few times to add at the possibility to playback the offline as split screen … but they have not implemented yet ….
