    One thing …..
Changing to NTSC, it will make a 29,97fps file from a 25fps in the original … will it be ok ?

thanks for your post. May I ask ?
What is a good codec for that ? DV, DVCPRO-25/50, 10/8 BIT Uncompressed or even ProRes ?
When importing the final exported (progressive as you said) movies into FCP, will it edit progressively or will it be working interlaced ? This is important because I will be working/creating some Motion Designs in Apple Motion and I have to setup the files to match FCP sequences …..

    Thanks again !

  • hi John, thanks for answering my question ….
Opening the file in FCP, I can see in the Browser a data rate of 1,3 MB/sec.
About the codec to edit it, that was my question. I need an advise on that. I have never worked with this size …. I’m not sure but I think, by the size, it is a PAL movie ….

  • Thanks for the explanation of your way of doing it …..

PS: Congratulations for your job in Laos. I saw your website.

  • Why is that ? What is the difference in the end ? If I change the sequence settings and render it before exporting will make differences ?

  • I was really thinking about that. But will I need to “render” the sequence after I have changed the settings or Can I just export it ?
My sequences now are DV/DVCPRO NTSC 720/480 Anamorphic (to fill a 16/9 screen).
If I go to “settings” and change the codec ( to PRORES 422 ) and everything else, when I export the sequence as “QuickTime movie, making the movie “self contained” it doesn’t go anamorphic. To make a 16/9 look I have to export it as QuickTime conversion, choose for PRORES 422, and make the “size change” to “current”…..

Another newbie question … Do I get any gain in selecting “Enable 4:4:4 Chroma filtering” on PRORES 422 export settings ?

It is not just a little bug … For those (like me) that needs to work with multclips and save/backup client’s images, it is a dinosaur …

Thanks … I will wait for NAB and make contact with you. Moreover …. I am also having the image out of sync but one thing is funny. The multiclip exported/copied is a mess but the sequence runs fine …
