    Hi,

thanks for mentioning the plugin Steve!

Kirk, I am the author of the plugin and will be pleased to help if you have any trouble for installation – just let me know at contact@fbmn-software.com.

It looks strange that it does not appear in your Third party Video FX folder.

Is your Vegas version compatible with OFX? (VP10, VP11, VP12, Studio Platinum 11 or 12)

    Best regards,
    Frédéric

    Hi,

And to check if your GPU is actually used during preview, you may use a tool like EVGA Precision: it will show you the percentage of load. If it does not raise during preview and stays at 0 or so, then your card is most likely not recognized by Vegas.

    Hope this helps,

September 19, 2012 at 8:42 pm in reply to: Ultimate 4 for color matching?

    Hi all,

I am just discovering this thread about FBmn Software ColorMatch. Too bad I missed it last June…

So far at FBmn we did not get any feedback about such issues other than Nigel’s, especially a change in behaviour as of Vegas 10c. But definitely it looks like there have been some changes in the OFX Vegas code, and in its multithreading management, leading to changing behaviours even with Sony’s own OFX plugins.

However, should any of you encounter a similar problem, please let me know as I would be interested to investigate and fix any potential bug in the plugin.

I understand it’s time consuming to package and send a project letting us reproduce the problem and analyze it, but most of the time it has let us discover with our customers that the issue was coming from a specific inappropriate setting or a Vegas bug (at least it could be reproduced with a Sony’s OFX plugin), and that generally it could be worked around. So it’s usually worth doing this.

I would like to point out that so far no bug has been found in FBmn Software plug-in releases (except betas)… Even though it may still happen…

Hope this helps, and sorry again for discovering this thread so lately.

    Frederic

    April 25, 2012 at 9:46 pm in reply to: H E L P – Major sync problems!!

    Hi,

Did you try to insert the rendered file as an extra track of your project (well, 1 video track AND 1 audio track)?

This would let you compare the audio peaks and see where the lag happens. Especially if you mute the “normal” audio tracks before rendering, and keep only the faulty one(s).

One thing is not clear to me: is the “lagging” audio track made of one single, long audio event, or of several small ones?

If it’s a single long audio file, where does it come from?

And finally, did you deactivate the option Options > Quantize on frames ?(not sure about my English translation of this option, I am using a French version of Vegas).

    Hope this helps,
    Frédéric

    Hi,
This looks weird! What do you exactly mean by notification? Things like windows updates being available?

I would like to try to reproduce this pb. Can you suggest a way to have such notifications, happen on my pc?

Will let you know if I get the issue as well (never had such, but not sure I have ever panned/zoomed when a windows update popped)

April 21, 2012 at 8:12 am in reply to: Render settings when event pan/crop?

If you want your video output resolution to be 1920×800 then you have to change the project properties and the render settings.

I have just done a tutorial about how to do this:

    https://youtu.be/X29IrJ42xlU

Notice that if you use pan/crop, it will have to be done for each event. Instead, you might prefer to use the track motion settings.

    Hope this helps,
    Frederic

    Hi

You might have a look at the pan/crop tutorial mentionned in my signature below.

I think you can do the whole thing with only one of pan/crop or trk motion, not both.

However if I understand correctly, you will also have to use masking, and maybe compositing.

    Hope this helps,
    Frederic

In fact, fixing the last bug reported by beta-testers was faster than expected, and the product is now available for public release.

You may check it there: https://www.fbmn-software.com/en/screen-recorder.html.

    Best regards,
