Ok, so I have these two clips, both recorded with an HD PVR, and they both have black bars. But I have to splitscreen them, so how would I manage to get rid of the black bars, and then Move their location without the black bars overlapping?

Open Pan/Crop on each event, right-click in the middle, select “Match Output Aspect” and the black bars should disappear.

[Ethan Lu] “how would I manage to get rid of the black bars”

Use Pan/Crop to crop out the black.

[Ethan Lu] “and then Move their location without the black bars overlapping?”

Use Track Motion to move the cropped footage into place.
