Could you recommend something other than Miraizon, to work with Prores files into and out of AE?
I’ve tried Cinemartin, but it’s cumbersome.

I uninstalled Miraizon first, as a test. It didn’t change anything.
Maybe AE’s new prores codec is buggy?

Thanks a lot. I tried everything, but the only thing that worked was uninstalling AE 15.3 and re-intalling an older version.

Layers often get misinterpreted by AE, regardless of the file name.
If you ad or delete layers in an Illustrator file, the existing layers distort in AE.
When you re-import, you have to import each layer, in the said file, one by one.

Do you know what I’m talking about?

Thanks. But: If the file name has changed, all the layers are “lost” in AE.
Re-linking one layer, doesn’t automatically link the rest.
    I’m getting Carpel-Tunnel from re-linking layers.

OK… Well, anyway, for everyone else out there:

    – There is no answer to the “transfer modes” question. So work around it.

    – Change your colour interpretation settings in Project Settings to ADOBE 1998 (so that AE interprets imported colour profiles), then change the Colour Management in the (Import)Interpretation for each layer to “Preserve RGB”.

    That fixes the colour problems.

  • I just made one of those, well an old alarm flip-clock really, same thing I guess.

Split the letters through the middle, just like the real ones and then animate their rotation in After effects – 3D.
    Simple.
