    Keyframing the mask shape is the same as keyframing the individual points (vertices), because the shape is determined by the position of those points.

    Hmm, just a thought…..

    How about if you stab your actor and film the scene, then in two months, reshoot the scene with just slight scarring.

    ….then again, maybe not.
