  • animating a mask?

    Hey

I have created a mask around a person’s face and basically want to animate that mask as the person moves in the frame (rotoscope)

how do i actually create keyframes for each of the points on the mask.

so far i can only find how to keyframe the entire mask shape and not the individual points in the mask

    thanks

    A quick additional note:

It is often easier to animate multiple simple masks working together than one intricate mask.

    For example:
If you were going to roto a torso and head, you may have separate masks for the body, the head, the forearm, hands, etc.

Keyframing the mask shape is the same as keyframing the individual points (vertices), because the shape is determined by the position of those points.

    thanks for the responses.

I probably didnt explain myself that well, but i figured out what I wanted to do, which was to animate the individual vertices over time….found I could adjust those with the help of the command key.

    thanks again!

good tip on using multiple masks as well
