Filter to Make Video Look Like Animation?
Posted by Eric Goldstein on December 11, 2007 at 11:01 pmHi, Does anyone know of an AE filter that can be used to make video look like an animation? Sort of like some of the Photoshop Artistic filters?
Thanks,
Eric

December 12, 2007 at 6:40 pmIt’s a little more work than just putting on a filter in AE, but you could always export your movie as an image sequence and set up a batch action in photoshop to apply whatever effects you like.

December 12, 2007 at 8:51 pmwithin ae you can try median and minimax effects. median looks a bit like ps palette knife, setting minimax to do both minimum and maximum can produce paint daub like effects.
combining these with textures as displacement maps and trackmattes may start getting you close to ps artistic filters.
maybe find edges can get worked into the mix too…
