Hi. I have filmed a lot of stuff with my home camescope. The problem is, when I import my footage into after effects (6.5 PRO windows) there’s no sound at all. If I watch it into Windows Media player, I can hear it but the audio levels are all flatlines when I import into after effects. All my footage is .MOD (JVC camera) I rename it .MPG so I can import it. It seems to be the same format. I also tried to import it with it’s original name (.MOD) and ask AE to interpret it as a Video for window… and guess what?

    No sound!

    Any clues?

You could try Super from erightsoft.com. It’s freeware and is supposed to convert mpeg.
