    Hi…

Just wondering, did you look at the 60D?

Wide angle lens – Take a look at the Tokina 11-16mm or the Canon 16-35mm

Tripod – look at the Manfrotto series, there are many models to choose from.

Steady Cam – Glidecam makes a great product

    Happy Shopping!

David… I’ll tell her you said that, she’ll get a kick out of it. I’m self taught and trying to build a small business for my boys, plus trying to stay one step ahead of the pack. This forum, with experts like you, helps me more than I can express. Everyone is so eager to give back, so to speak. I do what I can to help when I can too.

    Thanks Again!!

    Hi David…

No, same Final Cut 🙂 … just didn’t get much sleep last night.

The footage was transcoded to ProRes 422 and I did have FC change the seq. settings to match the media. Just second guessing and thinking about it while I’m at the other job.

Thankfully, I’m finally in a situation where I didn’t have HDV in the mix.

    Thanks Again David!

There’s two pretty reasonable tools out there… the Zoom H-1 and the The RODE VideoMic are about $100.

    Hi Guys….

I’m pretty happy with my 7D footage overall. It puts my A1s footage to shame. We have a 60D now too.

Having a good optical viewfinder like a Zacuto Z-Finder will help you find sharp focus, especially if you’re at f2.8 or f1.4 or 1.8 with a prime.

    Hi…

I’m pretty sure that the 5D will do the same. Smooth movements and stability are a must with my 7D and 60D. That jello is because of the rolling shutter.

Let’s see what everyone else has to share.

    Best Regards!

April 4, 2011 at 6:38 pm in reply to: Grain/Noise reduction on 7D

    Hi..

I have no grain/noise issues at or below 1000 ISO, even a tad higher. Just curious, what conditions were you shooting in, what were the rest of your setting, and what lens were you shooting with? OH, did you notice this before or after transcoding, and what are you using to transcode your footage.

    Best Regards!
