I know and feel your pain… I wish they’d address the problem…. I’ve been limping along with it and loosing tolerance these days.

  • Hi Jonathan…

No specific issues. I have it setup OK, but there’s much to consider. AF out and sensitivity on the LAV, manual MIC vol on the DSLR, Stereo setup on the H4n… and the line out volume, as well as the MIC vol setting for the LAV on the H4n.

If someone had settings established I could compare and tweak possibly 🙂

    Best Regards!!!

  • Hi…

The Sescom LN2MIC-ZMH4-MON Line Out to Camera Mic In Headphone Tap Cable is designed to connect the line output of portable recorders, such as the Zoom H4N to the microphone inputs of compatible DSLR cameras (see compatibility chart below). The cable measures 18″ in length, features male 1/8″ (3.5mm) mini TRS connections, a female 1/8″ (3.5mm) TRS input for headphone monitoring, and a -25dB level attenuation pad for “stepping down” line level audio, to microphone level.

Well, I worked out using AE, but the quicktime seem to be a bid sped up. Any thoughts on that?

Also… each DPX is like 5 seconds long in the timeline … I exported the sequence using a few different setting and each time the same results. This is weird.

    Hi Everyone…

I finally have the DPX files. I imported them into PR CS6… brought them into a sequence, but it looks like each DPX folder is like 120frames, at least that’s what happens in the timeline.

This is a bit confusing. When I do an export and scrum through the view it looks OK, but the quicktime is not good.

    any thoughts or suggestions?

    Thanks Angelo!

There’s not much more to the story really… at least that I know of. He’s writing the files to dvd and sending them to me. I told him I was pretty sure I could export to QuickTime for him. He’s using them in a montage that consists of a mix of stills and video

I appreciate your workflow a lot!

    Thanks Again!!
