This is just a guess on my part since I don’t have all the pertinent info.

First off, you are using a third party software unrelated to Vegas. (as per your screen shot) Unless something has changed very recently, Vegas can’t ”see” H265 files. You have to convert them to a format that Vegas will recognize. Ideally, a lossless one in order to retain as much as possible your original quality. Mind you, there is no such thing as a totally lossless file when rendering. Some rendered formats will create huge files and others giganormous ones.

Handbrake an Ffmpeg will accept H265 and from there you can render it to your favored Vegas format.

The reason we ask for the info is that sometimes, the file(s) have something wonky that Vegas doesn’t like. It may even be that it may work foe a while and suddenly, not. For example, let’s take a .MOV file. It’s just a container for different types of file. Weird frame rates, etc…

As Marco stated, .ASF is only a container, we need to know what kind of file is in that container.

Sorry about the delay in my reply. I tried a lot of different ways and I could only get what you got the cut) using your font (Allison Script) in Legacy Text.
However, when using Titles & Text, I got a perfect result with no cuts.

if you really need to use the Legacy Text option, then I recommend you use Allison Tessa. It looks like the other one.

Here are the results:

Legacy Text with Allison Tessa (maximum size 44 before starting to cut. Use Track Motion Box to re-size if needed. It may get a little blurry)

Can you post Mediainfo on your file so we can have a better idea of what’s going on ?

In Mediainfo, first select ‘Text’ mode in the ‘View’ tab, it provides more information than the default view.

If you could also include you machine specs, Vegas version, etc… The more info we get, the better the answer.

As for QT version 7.6.8 , it’s just trial and error. I just find that particular version to be the most stable with Vegas. I try to use it a less as possible.

You also have to keep in mind that QT for PC is 32bit and it’s trying hard to work in an 64bit environment. You will be limited in what it can take. Your best bet is to convert your .MOV files to a more Vegas friendly format by using Handbrake or FFmpeg. Choose the end-use file type that suits your needs.
