Hi B.J. Thanks for your reply.

I purchased a Decklink Extreme PCI-X about a year ago and I have not been able to set it up since. The problem (budget aside) is that it’s not so easy to find advanced equipment in Mexico, and order it to the States presents other little problems too (stupid taxes, etc).

I wanted to put my card in a P4 system because I have the chip, but I also purchased an A8N-SLI mb (not deluxe, but well…) and I will certainly follow your advise; I’ll buy an AMD 4200+ DUAL CORE chip and put my Decklink there.

You’re right, the graphics card is a potential problem.

I’ll have to keep looking for the P4SCT or P4SCT+II (hard to find in Mexico).

Your comments cleared things up for me. I appreciate them.

Looks like I’ll have to get the dual core AMD processor and put my DL Extreme in a 32 bit slot.

However it would be nice to be sure that the A8N-SLI mobo will work. If it is not too much to ask, I’ll appreciate it if someone from BM could tell me.

Could you clear this out please?

Does this means you can capture from a deck, and then output and record to same deck, a simple stream with maybe some titles?

That for me is simple things. Can you do that with Decklink in a 32-bit slot and a Raid?
