While you cannot open sw Bins and Programs in Media 100 i you can exchange everything (Bins, Programs, Projects, Media) with an HD system.

Export as “Self Contained” from Media 100. Very quick (compared to a QuickTime Export) and without recompressing the image; full quality is kept.

Only in 3rd party programs. But if you export “by reference” you can convert to other formats quickly e.g. with QuickTime player Pro or AE.
You should not have any problem when installing the software codec with V8.1.1. But just in case, “park” the hardware codec somewhere. If you have problems, move it back to the QuickTime folder, and you should be in the configuration as you were before. -

we got our HDW-M2000P and I did some digitizing and mastering tests. As you have noticed, in the default setting the deck does not master frame accurate, and it also does digitize one frame off (compared to your TC on the tape).
But if you set the “Digitize Frame Offset” in the “Deck Specific options” to -1 you can digitize and master frame accurate as you would expect it.
To set this option, go to Preferences->Device Control and hold Shift, CTRL and Command (Apple) while clicking on the “Configure” button. This way you get the “Deck-Specific Options” and there you can adjust the Digitizing Frame offset to -1.Hope this helps,

Open the “Monitor” or the Source & Record window. It can happen that Export from Edit suite is greyed out if the Recod window is not opened.

How do you want to control access to the XServe RAID? One channel per system? XSan? FibreJet? Something else? Depending on which software you do use for managing your SAN there are different ways to access the data on the XServe RAID from remote stations. The network interface on the XServe RAID is for configuring the system only. You cannot access the drives through it.

If you used Apple DiskUtility the array should show up with the new adapter. Why do you want to use the ATTO software? We have only good experiences with DiskUtility.

If you did nothing to the array (like initializing the drives) a reinstall of 10.2.8 should give you access to your media files again. There is no way to “roll back” to 10.2.8 except reinstalling it, e.g. to another partition or to an external FireWire drive.

have you tried connecting only one source (DV or BetaSP) to the Media 100 at a time? The Beta deck has RS422 anyway, so it should be able to be controlled by HD anyway. And if you connect only the DV/FireWire to the box and the RS422 and video from the Media 100 HD I don
