You could do a QuickTime export as “Uncompressed 8bit 4.2.2” (or as DVCPro50, depending on what compression the FCP guys usually use), which can be read by FCP. Or you can export as “Self Contained”, which would require the FCP users to install the Media 100 codecs

This only happens if you exported something as a “by reference” file from Media 100, and not when exporting an AE project from Media 100. If you deleted the original media files that were used in the “by ref” export there is no reason in keeping the reference container files. Deleting the “by ref” QuickTime files will avoid the slow QuickTime search for the files used in the by ref files.

The RGB Levels and RGB Curves work as in most other applications, like Photoshop and AfterEffects. If you can find a tutorial how to use those I think you should get pretty close in Media 100 HD.

CG Studio was never developed for OSX. In fact Boris Graffiti was even the default title tool on V7 and up. So unfortunately there is no way to work in CG Studio under OSX.

If you have acquired from DV into the DV codec (which of course makes sense) you have a mix of different luma ranges when exporting by ref. You should do a “full” QuickTime export to a codec you want to use, e.g. to Animation/Lossless to get the highest quality. When mixing codecs with different RGB ranges you will see this problem. To avoid this you could digitize into the same codec for the whole project (depending on what your target format is).
