The Vegas effect let you create animated lines following a mask. You can define the opacity for the start, middle and end of each line.

I think that may be what you need.

Try masking the sky, so the tracker only analyses the floor

Did you completly removed any Invigorator files before upgrading to 6? This sounds like a corrupted preference.

There are Zaxwerks installed files in the After Effects plug-in folder and in your user documents folder.

    I hope this helps

  • You can change the speed of the footage to aprox 125%

I believe in Final Cut you select your clip and go to the menu
    >Modify >Speed

You won’t have any audio, but you should be able to sync.

Thanks, Edward, that helped a lot.

I was confused because of the way the Layer Map is displayed inside the 3D Invigorator interface (the preview is a color bar graphic) and I was thinking it was mandatory to fill the entire object with the layer map.

    This is what I learned:

I created a square precomp, placed the logo and info there and made them fill all the width of the comp. Then, I assigned the precomp to a Layer Map and got myself inside the Invigorator interface.

Now I was able to adjust the rotation, scale and position using the mapping controls you mentioned, Edward, and it was really easy once I figured out that I can turn the tiling to none. The image was not distorted and it didn’t matter the actual shape of the object (a lathe).

That was it! No distortion and no weird calculations for the aspect ratio of the layer map.

    Thanks again

If you have selected to use After Effects Camera, the Invigorator camera controls will not work, you’ll keep coming back to your AE camera view.

    That’s my guess

A lavalier can do the trick. Distance to the subject is your main issue, I think.

    Great question!

I can’t think in a way to do it that doesn’t involve putting the CONTENTS folder back into a P2 card and delete the unwanted clips from the camera menu. Of course, a software that can do that in your laptop would be great.

I wonder if somebody would come with an answer to that.
