Same thing here. Even though I acquire from a DVCPRO50 Deck I have gone back to the media100LL codec just for that reason not finding a workaround for the dark movie imports in Boris.

[Floh] “Are you working with PAL DV-Sources that get acquired into Media 100 i codec, or are you working in the actual DV/DVCpro25/50 codec inside Media 100 HD or Producer?”
I always work in the media 100 i lossless codec, never used DVCPRO25/50 codec up to now. Would there be a visible difference?
It is a brand new 1 TB LaCie firewire HD which I loaded almost full with material yesterday. Did not have to format any of them up to now before using them. The other affected HD is also 1 TB and about 2 months old. The affected memory stick has been in use since a year!
If I try to export to Flip4Mac (Vs. 2.1.0.33) from the m100 HD timeline (Vs. 10.1.4) I get the error message: “Could not complete the export from edit suite command because there is a parameter error”.
Any thoughts?
Thanks
Felix
I checked out the 330 a couple of days with the 1/2″ canon lens. I cannot say anything about the HD part, but downconverted to SD the 2/3″ DVCPRO50 is far better. For me there is no question. I stay with DVCPRO50 until maybe XDCAM HD is 2/3″ because I still need SD for quite awhile. I work in PAL land.
XDCAM discs handle very good but I still like the insert recording capability of tapes when sometimes you only have to change one little part of a movie being it video or audio.
I did open my box because of a bad connnection, could not find anything wrong, just to find out that it was the plug of the extern cable which was at fault. But opening the box and checking the connections is no problem (if it is not under warranty anymore)
