    Hi Dave
I’m almost in the same situation with my Fujinon A22x7.8 BERM SD Broadcast lens. The stock lens on the 350K is amazing for it’s prize, and yes, I think it’s better than the SD lens for HD. The weak point on this lens is the jerky zoom on low speeds but you might be lucky and get a smooth one. For slow zooms I use the SD lens but mostly I shoot with the stock lens, it’s also lighter than the SD-lens and it communicates better with the camera (back focus, metadata …). And if you ever sell the camera it sells easier with the lens.

Well, I still have a few days prime support on that camera and so I contacted Sony this morning.
Just would have liked to know if somebody else had this same problem and tightened a screw somewhere.

I have edited 8 projects with that rugged little HD in media 100 (HD and SD projects) within the last six months and was surprised how well this lightweight fan-less drive performed. As long as you do daily backups of your work you should be able to avoid any major disasters.

Same thing here! Some pictures were great and then turned very green while turning the polarizer. I guess we have to get used to white balance again after turning the filter.

    Thanks Wick!

The workaraund is great for Time FX clips which are probably very few in a timeline. I have a lot of static “freeze” clips which behave the same way and so I’m very happy to hear that there will be a fix in a future version.

To me it looks like that clips which were acquired in an older version turn black upon rendering (freeze/Time FX). If I reacquire in Suite 1 they work.
Jack, how did you get rid of the problem? Were they clips from a previous version?
Bob: If you reacquire a couple of clips into your current version, do they work?

    Thanks Wick.

Using an internal drive didn’t work, however, if I reimport a clip (xdcam HD) I can do the rendering also to the external FW drive. But from the hundred clips in the bin or on the timeline they all render black. Only new imported clips work. Not only with Time FX but also with static (freeze) clips the same thing happens. I cannot render any static clips, tey turn black. Same thing in other programs SD or HD!

    Tried 2.1.5.
Installation was not complete – it got stuck while updating the MXO hardware, and so the hardware stayed on 1.5.1. After that media100 crashed everytime while starting: error -19004. After uninstalling 2.1.5 and installing 1.5.1 again everything is fine.

Just ordered the MXO2 without Max because they can’t be used at the same time. So I might get the CompressHD card later.

    Thanks, Felix

    Thanks Olof. Nice to hear.

Do you or anybody have the MAX-version? They still seem to have problems with their H.264 encoded files with Toast 10 (with MAX or the compressHD-card which is the same).
