And a little more finally than that – make sure your text X,Y position is at an EVEN and WHOLE integer. If its at 293.65, 95.3…round up to 294, 96. Make sense?

I needed to have the MPEG at a specific data rate which, unless I’m mistaken, Streamclip wont do.

Just tackled this problem yesterday. My solution was to export an MPEG2 via Compressor with a transport stream of audio embedded (its an option in Compressor). This will allow you to compress your video to a specific data rate, if you need to. Then take that .m2t file and run it through MPEG Streamclip, as noted in the previous post. You will want to use either the “Convert to MPEG” or “Convert to MPEG with MP2 Audio” options, depending on your specs. Hope that helps.

Do you have a mixing console in your workflow that feeds your deck? Is your computer hooked up to the board? Make sure that pot is down when you are doing ETT.

The bottom line really comes down to many different factors but, this should give you a great idea of how much you should expect to make for the area you are trying to find employment in.

    Kevin-

Thanks for your reply. I’ve got a yes to all your questions. I should also mention that I have trashed prefs numerous times.

Just to confirm though, your PSD’s et al look BETTER in FCP 5 with the new motion settings than they did in 4.5? I know they probably do or, like I said, the boards would be exploding with complaints.

    Thoughts?

My simplest but most effective and frequently used key combo in an edit session is SHIT+Z to zoom to the whole timeline then a quick tap of the Z key to activate the zoom tool to zoom a different area of the timeline. Very fast access to anything in the timeline. Clients love it vs. Media100.

Well I thought it was a TT font but appearently it is Postscript Type 1. Funny thing is, other PostScript Type 1’s work perfect in the text generator. Also, the same version of the Garamond font worked flawlessly in 4.5. What gives?
