ohh nevermind. think I got it. sweet I’ll test out outputting double the number of frames then conforming it back to 30fps. unsure if it’ll improve it though as it seems to spike quite erratically with the flickering (or dof blurring). cheers!

hey thanks for the reply. sorry it’s taken me so long to get back. how do I “conform” the frame rate exactly?

    thanks for the advice.

thanks for the info. that sounds like the most likely problem. but right now I only have the swf as it was provided to me as an asset. just wandering if there are any other possible causes for this problem? just in case it turns out that it didnt have anything to do with Action Script or something like that.

thanks for the help. much appreciated.

ok, that doesn’t really help my situation I’m sorry to say. Yes, I realise that final cut (which I have) would be a better application to use for straight forward editing but I wish to use after effects in case I want to add additional effects to my reel and it would also be nice to resolve this issue for future projects.

    thanks

  • yea I’ve considered both the slider and a matte before but like you said, the matte wont work with a warp type effect and parenting stuff to a slider was too much work for my liking. yea the 2 comp viewer is how im going about atm but my screen isnt as gigantic as your screen lol.

thanks anyway, it’s good to know for sure that there’s no magic “exception” button in ae.

    cheers

wow thanks. I had given up looking for a fix and forgot about it this whole time. I’m not by my comp atm but I’ll try it out when I get home. Yeah I didn’t delete that aex file to begin with as I thought that it was integral to making the plugin work. I’m sure this will fix it so thanks in advance! This should save me a lot of hassle in the future.

    cheers!
