  • Hi John !

Thanks so much for this suggestion. It is definitely a bug in the upgraded system so I went ahead and created a watch folder with encoder, but following instructions, it does not really encode anything I put into the folder. When I drop the MOV files in teh folder and I go to encoder, by default it should start encoding what is in that folder, but instead it says “not currently encoding”

    – I created a WATCH folder in desktop
    – In encoder (under watch tab), I specified the output folder inside that watch folder. I understand that when you start adding MOVs in that WATCH main folder then encoder automatically starts encoding, correct? it doesn’t in mine…

Let me know if you have any suggestions to make it work,
    Thanks again!
    Esther.

  • John , thanks for your suggestion. After having done more research creating the watch folder for now is the only solution I have, it seems that the latest operating system in Mac is creating that bug into premiere cc, at least I didn’t find anything else.

I never created a watch folder in Encoder before so now I will have to do a search for that, this is a never ending process, of course it always is!

Anyway, thanks for everyone’s suggestions and your time!
    Esther.

  • Hi Eric! thanks for the fast reply!

I get all these files from animators that work in Toon Boom Harmony or TVPaint, by default they export it to Prores 4444 . I did not have a problem with the previous version of premiere by the way, with the exact same files, only after I upgraded to Premiere but 13.1.4 build 2 in OS Mojave. Where do you get yours?

No idea what else to do besides converting before importing, which is a total waste of time having thousands of clips to import…It looks like a bug on my system? I can’t find it online…

    So frustrating, thank you!

Hi steve, thank you, will try that! for a better understanding:

    – first motion track with 4 points , then using corner pin, then applying these 2 to the null?

    thanks again!

Hello Greg! thanks for this suggestion.

I tried to apply cartoon effect to the shape layer, also to the auto traced layer, and nothing changes, i cant believe after so many effects, there is non that makes that stroke thinner! it should be one I assume? if nobody has any other ideas..I will have to change my approach completely. But I refuse to give up, making a vectorial-line thinner should be easy in AE…will keep searching the way. Any more suggestions welcome!

    thanks everyone!

Hello Max! thanks for your suggestion. I also tried what you said, made a shape layer, then added the stroke effect, the problem is that the smallest stroke (at least the option I see in this effect) is still too thick.

These images show the shape layer in RED, the auto trace in WHITE and the original drawing (no mask) in BLUE.

    – IMPORTANT: this is a still form an animated sequence, meaning I am trying to avoid animating just that part again (so making all those drawings again). Instead, I am trying to make that line thinner to integrate it better with the character, as you can see the character has no lines at all. I want that line from the armature to be less thick as possible, but AE does not seem to have a thinner mask stroke by default, so I can’t change it? Thank you!! E.

    Hello Richard!

I just did the auto-trace (thanks), but I still have the same question: how to make the stroke from the masks created thinner? you say that works like the stroke effects, but how to edit the thickness of those lines then?

    thanks again!!
