Hello Andy! I just saw this! if you can send me the link to that video tutorial it will be GREAT! as I am trying to use as less as possible after effects when I edit in premiere- i am suppose to be editing lots of fast quick videos, so avoiding AE is key on the pipeline i have. You said two weeks last week, doe sit mean you will have this video sometime this week? I am trying to find out the fastest way to animate text (animating underlines, animating for example a “vibrating/cooking effect” of the text, etc etc), avoiding AE…if possible!

    Thanks again Andy.

I see, the link is playing whatever videos now…not a specific one, I meant to watch the “melting sweet potatoes”, where that yellow line is growing as the title appears. I don’t care about the animation, but if i can animate in premiere, a simple line shape appearing on screen. You can watch also the “slow cooker lemon garlic chicken”, as it has that yellow line animated, along with text:

Then, in the “crunchy peanut slaw” there is a rounded rectangle under the title, can that shape be made in premiere or I also have to go into AE? so far I only have the typical square and elliptical shape in the title tools…here the image:

    Thanks again Dave!!

    hahah I am hungry too!
the line I am talking about is the one that appears at the intro of this video, in the tITLE!
If you see it let me know if that can be done in Premiere or I have to go into AE,

    thanks Dave!

Ok, I just saw that when new project in premiere CC, you can use

-Mercury Playback GPU Acceleration (Open CL)

    OR

    – Mercury Playback engine software only optio

which one of these 2 are best for what I am trying to do?

    thank you!

    Hello David!

thks for your help, I have a question regarding your thoughts, it might be option 2, as the rest I know are not the issue, as I have enough space and also :

    2) you don’t have the Adobe Mercury Playback Engine enabled, or you don’t have the proper video card (or drivers) installed in your computer

I thought that was enabled in playback settings “enable mercury transmit”, which it is. I am trying to find online how to enable this in CC, but only find it in CS6? is this what I have enabled already?

I also have an AMD FirePro D700 6144 MB for graphics, not sure if that is any info that could help..?

    Thanks again!

Forgot to mention that in the same sequence I have a mix of H264 quicktime files (.mov) and then .MXF files…

Is this the issue? can’t find the correct playback to have both on same seq?
If so, what is the best solution?

    Thanks again!

    Thks for your suggestion Greg.

Unfortunately did not work for me…wipe from “nothing”, do you mean start the wipe at frame zero on the clip I like to end on the wipe? and add this clip on the layer on top of the first clip?

I did this but i just get black space before and after, not the edge…I am doing something completely wrong…

October 29, 2015 at 12:28 pm in reply to: Premiere cc crashes when wav files added into sequence

Hello David, thank you for your response.

I know everyone helps for free, and is much much appreciate it! This is why I thought I was giving all the information needed. Sorry if I didn’t. But I don’t know exactly what is needed to know about the .WAV files I am using…What exactly do you mean with specs on these .wav?

On the other hand, same issue happens when adding .AIF files, as I was troubleshooting this issue and Premiere crashes only when I work with audio files in general.

    I hope this helps?

    Thanks again David!
