Hi again Mads! great tips! my system can actually handle very well 4K…and this is why I have no idea how they connected these proxies to the project, so is new to me, instead of disabling proxies, I only want to confirm that I am using them and that I export 4K – will check other threads for this but thanks for these links as they are also interesting to have!

Hi again Mads, I have another question regarding this project and I thought might be a good idea to ask in this same thread as is for the same project: this project is been set up as a production, and at the same time i got several individual premier pro projects that have clips linked to this external drive where the production is been set up. In theory, the files are linked to the proxies, but how do I know I am editing with proxies and also how do I know when exporting, if I am exporting as 4K instead of proxies? i know there is the toggle in the program window but I don’t see a clear way to actually see this. Also when I search as “reveal in finder” from the clips, it’s showing me the original 4K and not teh proxies. As I have never set up a project with proxies and is my first time, I am a bit confused on how to confirm if I am continuing editing with proxies and how to confirm I will edit to 4K. I have watched videos but I am still not sure about this, let me know if is best to post this in another channel! Thanks in advance! Esther.

Thanks for your reply Mads! will try this out or go to Motion array, thanks!

  • Hi again Othman! This script you suggested works great for this effect. client is actually asking for a specific look, but was wondering if you have a different suggestion for reaching this “color travelling” effect I am attaching here. The colors are traveling through the line shapes. I wonder if there is any specific method? is this maybe a color swipe under a non-colored line shape? I could not replicate but maybe I am missing another swipe of effect I could apply? Thanks again!

  • Hi Othman, thanks for this! I will definitely try it out!

  • Hi Eric, this is for a client…so even if it is a lot of work I must try..if you have any specific tips you like to send out, I am all eyes/ears! ha! thanks

    Hi again Walter!

I have another question regarding this export, if I leave the animation as it is at 30fps and it is animated in 2’s, then if I add the MOV in a 60fps comp, and export, it will look the same but at 4’s you mean as per the duplication AE does? the client has this technical issue where the MOV has to be at 60fps, so if I leave the animation as it is, is this the solution then? sorry if it sounds redundant, I am a bit confused! thanks again!

Hi Walter! thanks so much for the explanation, it makes sense as the animation is at twos (X2), so drawings are already duplicated like the 60fps is doing in AE.

The original traditional animation is done in another software, then imported into AE, and then exported again. This is why when I export the 30fps MOV into a 60fps comp, at 60fps, it looks the same, for the reason you are explaining. SO what you are suggesting though is that we export at 60fps from the original software (TV PAINT), right?

I am also interested on knowing how to create frame blending in AE using the 30fps to transform into a 60fps mov, so that AE creates the frames in between, do you know how I should do this? Thanks again!!
