Ok guys so photoshop might be out of the quesiton as I have about 100 pictures. Is there an actual directional blur or should I just use the “Stop motion” and or “Flicker Filter” and add them to my pictures?
Would it be possible to makek the whole sequence then nest it so its one sequence and THEN add the flicker filter to the whole project? OR add a directional blur to the whole sequence?

Ya I hear sillhoeutte is really amazing. Im gonna have to get that program. I was wondering should I get the stand alone or the plugin for AE?

Wow Andrew that sounds like a pretty damn good idea. Im gonna give it a shot. Instead of doing the precomping and making the black layer and such, couldn’t I just bring the opacity of the first layer I made on top to zero? Then it just has the mask and you will see the layer im roto’ing under it.

I just finished reading the Bill Oneil Tutorial and Im giving it a whirl right now. Vector paints seems very useful. The only thing is unlike masks with paint I dont bellieve it interpolates keyframes. For instance when you create a mask you can make one 10 frames later and it stays on the footage. When I paint the subject and move one frame over I have to repaint. Is this true to paint?

I think he is asking where one would put the second track point. The first being on the subject and the second being in the foreground or something to show the change in scale, Im not sure myself.

Thanks again for your help yikes. I have never painted in AE its one thing I want to really learn to do. Should I try painting this person out? Is that what vector paint is all about?

Thanks yikes I have heard of this script before. Im sold im gonna have to give it a try. I know other compositing packages let you add track data to masks so I figured AE might.

Can anyone put this in more basic terms? I dont really deal with adding scripts in AE.

Thanks a production bundle tony. Basically the footage is from finallight.com under freefx. Its the fireball with a smoke trail. So when you open the quicktime file its just sitting there animating. Meaning the fireball is still but its animating so the smoke is moving and the fire is moving but not through the footage for instance from left to right.
