    Howdy Cowpokes,

I am trying to track a character as he moves from the background to the foreground and attach an image where his face would be. How exactly do I use the second track point & feature region that are created after I check the ‘Scale’ box?

The effect that I’m after, is that the target layer will scale up as the character approches the camera (locked on tripod).

    I am using

I think you’re only 1 click away. If you get a good track, it seems to me you just click the “Edit Target” bar in the tracker, then in the dialog that opens up, choose your “target layer” (the mask or new face you want to attach) as the layer to be transformed. Unfortunately it defaults to the same layer you run the track on, so you need to make the change to you new target layer. Then hit Apply. Unless I’m missing something.

I think he is asking where one would put the second track point. The first being on the subject and the second being in the foreground or something to show the change in scale, Im not sure myself.

It seems while testing it, you put the second track point (that pops up when you check Scale) on another part of the face, since that is what’s scaling. The background isn’t scaling, and if you used the background you’d get a different tracking relationship depending on where you placed the decond track, methinks.
