Kelly,
There are many ways to do this so I will just give you one. Click on the event/pan crop icon on the event on the timeline. This will open the pan/crop window. Right click on the video image in the pan/crop window and select “Match Output Aspect”. This will conform the video to match exactly to your project settings.

I think you have a “match aspect” issue going on here. The clip that is “leaking” has a slightly different aspect ratio than the letterboxed image on top. Do a match aspect on the leaking image first and see if the problem goes away. If not, then you need to do a match aspect on the letterboxed image and that should solve the problem.

Change both the video and audio files back to what they were originally called. There are metadata files that are preserving the link and now they can’t find the files they are looking for.

Sorry to report bad news but I just tried the Color Match my SonyXDCAM HD multicam shoot and the results were not good at all. I have a speaker wearing a black shirt standing in front of a stone and rock wall. What matters to me in this scene are the flesh tones, the speaker’s black shirt, and the color of the rock stone wall behind him. None of these things are “highly saturated” which is maybe the reason why this plugin didn’t help me. I can do a much better job manually using the color corrector myself.

Have you installed third party codec packages on your system? I would suggest reinstalling both Vegas 9 and 10 to see if you can solve your coded problem. If reinstalls don’t solve it then you are probably looking at a more serious issue because it would be difficult to find exactly what is the source of your codec conflict. Has it worked in the past for you? Have you changed anything on your system?

Someone else will need to write about this but I’m pretty sure your problem is the extruded text from BCC7. Sounds like you might have a video card issue. Have you been successfully using this feature or is this the first time?

A new update and “whoops we lost the time code on the events!!!” Now that is some sloppy code work. I’m noticing a real trend in this direction unfortunately.

Todd,
No need to be baffled at all. I watched your video and for sure you have a dirty sensor on your T2i. It is a scary thing when you first realize you are going to have to clean your own sensor but I think that is what you should do.
What I did was watch 20 or so different videos on the web about how to clean your image sensor. After awhile you start to believe you can do it. I bought the correct size (Sensor Swab Type 2 12-pack) from B&H and I also bought a BriteVue Sensor Loupe 7x which allows me to see if the sensor has been cleaned or not.
The Loupe is not completely necessary as you can clean and check by shooting more sky video to see if the sensor is clean or not but that seemed like a pain to me. I like having the Loupe to check my work.
Having said all of that, the last advice is to get some Visible Dust Formula Solution. There are people who will say you don’t need this and will only recommend the swabs for cleaning. My experience was that my sensor wasn’t cleaned until I used the drops but ONLY 2 OR 3 TINY DROPS on the swab is necessary. You want a very small amount on the swab or it will smear the sensor.
Again, it all sounds scary and it is the first time you try it yourself but after one successful cleaning you’ll be ready the next time.

Darrell for sure my problem is as you describe. I’ve since learned there is a whole industry out there dealing with my problem. Apparently dust/dirt/oil on the image sensor is a real and never ending problem with these type of cameras.
Anyway, I now have to figure which method I’m going to use to clean the sensor as there are lots of different proponents of different methods to be used. Thanks,
Erik

Yes, it happens on more than one lens.
This is not a bad pixel situation. It is dust, debris, smudge, etc.
Auto Sensor cleaning is enabled but does not remove problem.
Manual cleaning does not help also.
I’m learning about Dust Delete but that appears to be more of a cancellation effect done through digital software manipulation. I realize now that I need to get my sensor cleaned. The thing is, I’m pretty sure now that it came this way from the factory!!
Thanks for eliminating the mirror as part of the problem for me.
