You could buy a v-mount or v-mount battery that has a USB power outlet on it to power the Speedbooster. That way you don’t need to have another battery to power it and you are already using v-mount batteries to power everything else.

It does make sense, it just isn’t possible. Metabones doesn’t make a speedbooster for a BMCC EF mount to EF mount lenses. They only offer EF lens to MTF BMCC because the flange distance makes it work.

I believe it does not filter IR. In getting a set of ND for the camera, I found a lot of IR polution in my footage and exchanged them for IRND’s and it was the correct choice. I chose the TIffen IRND’s as recommended by the test of Shane Hurlburt.

  • Update to 10.10.5 and it should work.

Focal length of focal length regardless of the sensor size. A 24-70mm Full frame sized lens when mounted on a smaller sensor camera (like for example a mirco four thirds sensor) will create the same composed image and quality as 24-70mm lens formatted for the smaller sensor size (like the m4/3 example).

Smaller format lenses can’t be mounted to larger sensor camera as the image they project to the sensor is smaller, designer for their camera format’s smaller sensor.

Any loss in quality, wouldn’t be due the the lens, but physical limitations of technology on the smaller sensor.

As a video professional, consider reading up on lens optics.

Then of course the 24-70mm EF lens can be mounted to the EF mount of the BMCC.

I shoot most often with a Canon 17-55mm EF lens.

Why don’t you mention which lens mount your BMCC has.

ProRes is also 1080p. But yes, only RAW offers the 2.5K resolution shooting option. I’d love a 2.5K ProRes option on the camera.

Could you post the DNG frame, not a png of a frame?
