Do you have the full structure of the card intact on the drive? If so you can still use L&T, just have to tell it to look on the drive. If not you can use ClipWrap, it rewraps or transcodes the clip, depending on what you choose.

How come your sequence is HDV 1080i as opposed to HDV 1080p24?
GoPro still images typically have a huge resolution. To create the timelapse use QT 7 Pro. File > Open Image Sequence , select the first image in the folder, choose 24 fps since that’s what your project is, than wait for QT to build the timelapse. Then File > Export, export a 1920 x 1080 ProRes with Preserve Aspect Ratio set to Crop, which will allow the image to fill a 16×9 frame.
You can use MPEG Streamclip to render out the GoPro .mp4’s to ProRes.

Easiest way is to create a data DVD. Put a blank DVD into your computer, wait it for it to show up on the desktop. Drag your video onto the disk, then double click on the disk and click burn in the upper right hand corner. When he receives the DVD, he puts it in his computer and drags the file off of it.

If you’re going to DVD the file will have to be below 4.7 GB, as a DVD only holds that much data. The size of your file is dependent on your bit rate settings in Compressor. Since your movie is only 65 mins, the 90 minute settings will create a file small enough. However, if you want to dial in your bitrate to fit your movie, you can use the bit budget spreadsheet, also on Ken Stone’s site. (sheesh I sound like a spokesperson for him)

Nope, ProRes is a proprietary codec developed by Apple.

ClipWrap works great. It rewraps the files to .mov, it doesn’t transcode them, which saves time. Definitely worth the 50.

Oh for sure. Sorry my mistake, I thought you were burning it to a DVD and looking at it on a TV. I would definitely burn an actual DVD and look at it; that’s the only way you’ll know for sure.
