The Premiere navigator is pretty much like the Photoshop Navigator, but the timeline is the bitmap. You get a very very “over” overview of the entire timeline.

Zipping from one end to the other is a snap, and surprisingly precise n the middle.

How about simple left/right movement? I find scroll bars to be clumsy– a sticky-key would be great.

Also, anything like a Premiere style navigator that gives a good macro view to the edit?

Thanks for your help, the wheel tip is great.

So simple? Dang! So, just import it twice, with different interpretations.

    Thanks!

  • I believe you are misinformed:

    from the dox:

“Vector blur uses maps to define a vector field along which the blur will take place. There are various ways to define the vector field. Vector Blur can blur in multiple directions, based on the values of another layer.”

    Type
Use this control to select how the vector field will be defined from the values in the chosen Vector Map. Choose one of the following options from the pop-up
menu.” —followed by descriptions of 5 different types of vector field maps

I’m more interested in using the correct vector maps that LightWave outputs than any kind of simulation or fakery. RSMB uses processed LW motion vector maps, but I’m looking for alternatives.

    2 layers, same footage.

There is color information in the alpha area. I want to use that color informaation as the background. So, the bottom-most layer will not use its alpha, while the layer above, same footage, will use its alpha.

That’s good for the current crop. I hope they have some vintage dox too: as indicated, I’m interested in the AE 7 package.
