run decrypter in IFO Mode with “none” file splitting on IFO settings (from Tools menu)…. this way decrypter will “rip” the video files in just 1 big VOB file (you can later get rid of the IFOs & BUP files) that you can use as your main media on DVDarch….. now you can add chapters, insert scene selections, menus, etc….

    hope this helps….

1.- Make (join) just 1 mpeg (or VOB) video with VideoRedo from the actual VOB files..this is fast and avoids re-rendering…. if you have the disk, you can also use DVDdecrypter to join the VOBs in 1 without rerender.
2.- Import media (1 video) in DVDarch and proceed inserting chapters, menus, etc.

    Done

Take a look on VideoRedo … I think is better than Womble and have many useful features about mpeg & VOB editing & joining…

Besides, I never have problems using DVD2AVI with the VFAPI converter & codec for using some VOBs as AVIs into Vegas …..

Yes… I tried AVI after making mpeg2…. not really an improvement ..
I believe is the render settings that we can’t modify (as in Vegas…)

…well… reading the references I found that using some “window blinds” cause the problem…I just change some settings on them and everything works fine…. thank you so much for your help…

… I do not know why, but hopes this helps to others… (avoid window blinds with videocapture…)

weel, thanks for your comments… I’ve read many compliants on other forums about the same problem with no solution other that send to service the camera… too bad for Canon…now that I’m thinking on another 2nd prosumer camera… it seems that I’m going to look over Sony or Panasonic…..

    1.- DVD2AVI (with VFAPIconverter)
    2.- Use AVI + audio(WAV) in Vegas
3.- Render 2 DVDPAL ..or whatever you want

    … pretty simple.
