  • Hi Justin – yes, tried that – my issue is that the renders look fine as tiff sequence/mov in the picture viewer – but theres some sort of gamma shift when I import into premiere… the soft shadows look darker and dirtier…

  • Thanks guys, Im running ML with no apparent issues – so far! 🙂

Couldnt hold off till Mavericks – but looking forward to that…

Im just kind of pissed they broke with felines and didnt go for OSX topcat.

It’s all the those pesky details :p

  • thanks bob – as i suspected

    – ive read a lot of “oh what complete a waste of time” comments recently that made me feel like a dinosaur 🙁

One more thing – ive heard a lot of complaints about ML running more sluggishly than SL (my current) – can anyone shed light on this?

Hi alex – if its any help ive mapped keyboard shortcuts which allow me to select the project window, navigate to clips, open clip in source and move from source to timeline – makes life easier…

  • Thanks for your replies guys –

    @Matt – yes I heard about that – unfortunately I have cs6 🙁

@Joseph – certainly something to take into account as I get older – but i guess wont help me with this specific issue as it seems that I wont be able to map any commands to select clips on timeline – as it doesnt seem to exist…

@Paul – command up/down arrow doesnt seem to work in Cs6… is that also a cc command?

actually – one more thing Re. variable ND’s; the cost…

like most equipment prices vary enormously $10-$150…

July 17, 2012 at 2:58 pm in reply to: how can i remove 4 green spots from some footage

    Hi all,

Im trying to remove some lens dust from some shots – so no tracking as such…

ive d/l re:fill demo but even after ive read the documentation i cant figure out how to use it :s

This is due to a) my technical imcompetence b) the fact that the documentation for this software is high on tech specs and internal workings but v low on a simple “how to use” with a couple of screenshots :s

do i apply filter to source footage or adjustment layer? do i create mask layers for my “holes” – well, in fact – how does it work? :s

any help would be appreciated – or if anyone can point me to another solution

i also found that rendering the object at 99% transparency can be a dirty workaround in some cases…
