Hi Hernan,
Thanks for the update. Good to hear you were able to work around the issue!

Hi Hernan,
When the camera is oriented to the layer, it doesn’t make use of the Point of Interest, which is why it disappears. Unfortunately, you will not be able to bring back the Point of Interest because of how the program works. If you still need the Point of Interest, you can try using the “Fit View By Translating” tool and you should be able to keep the Point of interest while the layer is moved to fit the camera.

Hi John,
I apologize. I mistaken what you meant. I had thought you wanted the serpent to go around the layer as in creating a border, which would be possible. However, to really revolve around the object would involve “faking it out” like Matt mentioned.

Hi Mark,
If you are using ProAnimator, you can move objects to the same object track by going into “Track Commands” and selecting “Move Selected Objects to Track” command. Once you move the heart and the text to the same Object Track, select a pose, and go into “Pose Grouping” on the right hand side of the screen. Under Pose Grouping, select “Make Group”. This will group your objects together and allow you to move your objects together.
If you are using 3D Invigorator, you can move objects together in the 3D Invigorator setup window. In the setup window, go into “Object Mode” and you will be able to to move objects into the same Set. Once the objects are in the same set, when you animate the set, the objects will move together.

Thanks for the update!
I was wondering what happened since we never encountered that error message before. That’s a great tip. Appreciate it!

Hi Gene,
Thanks for the information. Are you able to click on the “Update Serpentine” box to get the Serpentine graphics to display? Or are you not able to get any graphics to display at all without the error message popping up?
If possible, please send me your project file also so I can look at your setup and also try to reproduce the issue that you’re running into.
My e-mail address is: ed@zaxwerks.com

Hi John,
The way 3D Serpentine is designed is that it basically takes the 3D path you draw in After Effects, and extrudes the path. So if the path is following along the edges of your 3D Layer, the extrusion will follow along that same path as well. One thing to look out for is to keep the Comp sized Solid that contains 3D Serpentine as a 2D layer. If the 3D Serpentine layer is converted to a 3D Layer too, then your graphics will not display properly.
If you need an example file, please contact me at ed@zaxwerks.com and I can send you an example file to look at.

Hi Joe,
Are you using the latest version of ProAnimator? Our latest version is 4.5.1, so if you are not using the newest version, you can download it from our download page provided below:
https://zaxwerks.com/cgi-bin/download.cgi
If you are already using version 4.5.1, please double check to see if you are using the latest video card drivers.

Hi David,
What I can think of is that, if you are not viewing the Composition at 100% and you do not have the Resolution set to “Full”, then the edges can still appear to be jagged in After Effects. Also, if you have the Solid ProAnimator is applied to set as “Draft”, you will also see jagged edges.
