    Hi Geraint,

You may also be running into a corrupted swatches issue. To fix this, go to the “Documents > Zaxwerks” folder, and delete the ProAnimator folder. Then, try opening your project again and see if that helps.

If you’re still having any issues, please send the project file to me at ed@zaxwerks.com and I’ll see if I can open up the project file for you.

    Best,

    Hi Geraint,

You’re most likely running into this issue because your objects are not grouped. To fix this, select the Transition for your animation, then go to the “Transition Grouping” controls and select “Make Hard Group”. Then, as your objects are moving they should no longer move into one another.

Hope this helps. If you’re still having problems, please let me know.

June 28, 2010 at 7:07 pm in reply to: Adobe CS5 and 3D Invigorator Pro 4.3.2

    Hi Eban,

We’re currently converting the 3D Invigorator plug-in so that it is compatible with After Effects CS5. In addition, we are also working on a new version of 3D Invigorator Pro that will contain a ton of exciting new features such as customizable workspaces, an integrated drawing window, 3D object deformations, material gradient and noise shaders, and much more.

This version should be released within 1-2 months, and the conversion process should be finished shortly after. Everything should be completed by the end of Summer.

Unfortunately, at the moment there is no workaround for After Effects CS5. However, the 3D Invigorator plug-in is compatible from version 6.5-CS4. For After Effects CS4, it’s recommended that you use the latest version of 3D Invigorator, which is version 4.5.1.

We will send an e-mail notification to all our users when the new version is available.

Sorry for any inconvenience in the mean time.

    Best,
    Edward

    Hi Gary,

To track your 3D Text to your After Effects 3D Layers, be sure to place your objects into the proper sets. For example, move your objects into Set 1 in the 3D Invigorator Set-Up window. Then, in the Effect Controls window, go to the Sets controls, then go into Set 1 and adjust “Set 1 Track 3D Layer” to track your 3D Layer. You’ll then see your 3D Text snap to the position of your 3D Layer.

    Hope this helps.

    Edward

June 18, 2010 at 6:09 pm in reply to: Glitch on 3D models when using spotlights…

    Hi Nico,

The problem you’re running into is that the Shadow Quality needs to be increased. This will cause the shadows to look bad. In your project, go to the 3D Invigorator Pro interface, then go into Object Mode. Then, go into the “User Prefs” menu. For Shadow Quality, set the value to “4000”, and your shadows will look much better. Then, for your After Effects Spot Light, add some Shadow Diffusion, and your shadows will look great.

    Hope this helps.

    Hi Jose,

I don’t see your attachment. Please send the picture to me at ed@zaxwerks.com

Also, if you attach your After Effects project, I can take a look at your project setup.

    Thanks.

June 15, 2010 at 6:36 pm in reply to: ‘Global’ materials?

    Hi Dan,

Unfortunately your objects in one instance of Invigorator are not related to the objects of another instance of Invigorator. So, if you decide to apply a material to one instance, you will have to go in and apply them to the objects in the other instances as well.

If you are working within one Composition, you shouldn’t need more than one instance of Invigorator unless you are animating more than 8 sets. If you are working with less than 8 sets, you can consider placing the objects all within one instance of Invigorator. Then, it would be easier to apply the materials on your objects.

    Hi Charles,

From your description, it sounds like you’re using an older version of 3D Invigorator. If you download the latest version 4.5.1, you should have no issues.

To download the latest version, please visit our download page below:
