Hi Ted,
For 16:9 Aspect Ratio, you can select “HDV/HDTV, 1280×720” from the Resolution Presets if you are working in ProAnimator as a standalone.
If you are working from After Effects, you can try choosing the HDV/HDTV/DVCPRO Presets, and they will all be 16:9 aspect ratio.

Hi Shan,
You may be running into this issue if you have updated your version of QuickTime Player.
To fix this, launch QuickTime. Go into the Edit Menu and go into “Preferences > Quicktime Preferences” window. Go to the “Advanced” tab and under the “Video” section, select “Safe mode (GDI only).
After doing this, go back into ProAnimator and you should be able to render your movie without any issues.

Hi Tom,
3D Flag will be going into beta soon, and will be released shortly after. We’re also in the process of releasing ProAnimator FX, 3D Flag, and 3D Layer Tools. Once those plug-ins are available, you should see 3D Warps and The Werks shortly after.
Thanks for your patience.

Hi Cliff,
To fix this, go into the Material Editor, and load up the material with the Layer Map. Then, uncheck the option “Base Color”. The grey base color is showing up, which is why the alpha channel is not being read correctly. Once you turn off the Base Color, you will be able to see the transparency without any issues.

Hi Nan,
You may be running into an issue with a problematic font.
Try using the standalone version and run the following test.
Go to your “Users > Library > Fonts” folder, and move all the fonts to somewhere else temporarily. Then, try launching ProAnimator and see if you are still running into the same issues. If you’re not having any issues in the 3D Text window, then move a portion of your fonts back into the Fonts folder and see if you can use the 3D Text window without any issues. If the 3D Text window is still working fine, then it means the fonts you moved into the fonts folder are working fine. You can try moving more fonts in and see if you’re running into issues.
Using this method, you should be able to isolate the problematic font. If you find the font, please send it to us so we can try it out and see if we run into the same issues. My e-mail address is ed@zaxwerks.com
Hope this helps.

Hi Michael,
Here’s what you can try doing.
Go back into Illustrator, and increase the size of your logo. Be sure all the letters are big so that all the vector points are coming into ProAnimator nice and clean. By having small text, the vector points may not be working as well.
You can keep the same groups you had in Illustrator. However, once you import the objects into ProAnimator, group the outer text together in one Object Track, and hide the layers in the Object List so you don’t see so many layers at once. Then, be sure all the text in the Outer Text layer is selected, and go into the Object Controls panel, and lower the “Object Smoothness Preview” to 5. This will improve preview times while you are working in ProAnimator.
Also, you can try working in the standalone first. Then, after setting up your animation, apply ProAnimator to a Solid in After Effects, and load the project into After Effects.
Hope this helps.

Hi Doug,
Right, your question is similar to the post you referred to. You have to make the front face of the object extremely thin. Then, you can apply a nice rounded bevel, and adjust the Bevel Scale. By also changing the Edge Offset, you’ll be able to get a nice rounded shape.
In Version 5, there is another alternative.
If you need a rounded front face, you may want to just create a Lathe Object, and changing the Front/Top End Cap to “Domed” or “Rounded”. Then, change the shape of the object in the Profile Editor panel (located in the Object Drawing panel).
Hope this helps.

Hi Roger,
Thanks for the information. We’re working on resolving this issue. Once we have a fix available, we’ll be sure to send it over to you.

Hi Doug,
By increasing the Bevel Scale, or drawing a steeper bevel, it can make the front face of the model pop out more. If you’re looking into making the front face round, then the only way to get that appearance is to make the front face extremely thin, and increase the size of the rounded bevel. By having a really narrow front face and a large rounded bevel, it will make your object look like it is rounded all the way through.
Hope this helps.

Hi Chris,
It sounds like you’re also running on Windows Vista or Windows 7. If so, have you tried turning the User Account Controls (UAC) off? If the UAC is turned off, and the code gets accepted, does it prompt you to re-enter the authorization code after restarting the computer? Or does it prompt you to re-enter the authorization if you turn the UAC back on?
In terms of your memory issue, try increasing the RAM available for other applications in your After Effects Preferences.
