You can lock individual events, you can “select” all the events on a track and lock them all at once, you can use a script to lock events and it could be programmed to do “all selected tracks”, but there’s no specific way built-in to just lock a track.

It varies depending on the settings you have on the main screen (left, center, right justified) AND the settings you have on the “Placement” tab. You need to play around with both to see how the two interact.

There are MANY factors that can come into play here. First is the media itself. There are many different qualities of media. Stick with high quality media!
Second is the player itself. Some players play burned discs better than others.
Third, DVD Architect 1 is over 5 years old. You might try upgrading to a newer version (current is 4.5 with 5.0 coming out soon).
Fourth, you might try PREPARING in DVD Architect and then BURNING with some other program such as Nero or Record Now and see if that makes any difference.

Looks to me like very fast action shot in interlaced mode and you’re seeing both the upper field and lower field combined. What if you changed the project to progressive?

Final Cut cannot open Vegas projects. For simply projects, you might be able to output an EDL from Vegas and import that. You can always just render out to a file and then import the rendered video.

If you set the intro to hold or loop (even if you had those options which are not there for the start media when I just looked), and you disabled all the various buttons on the remote, how would you ever get out of the intro?
I guess if you really, really, really want to force them to watch it, make it start your intro video when they select a menu option and then link to where the menu button should have gone.

Yes there is! It’s exactly why I wrote the “Select Events” tool in Excalibur. A script can easily do things like “Select all events after the cursor no matter which track they’re on”.
