Turn OFF the “Split Screen View” – it’s a button just above the preview screen. Then look up that feature in the help file to see how it can assist in your editing.

Your problem is a very common one. There’s a couple solutions to try:

1. In Vegas’ preferences, turn OFF “Theme” support
2. In Windows, reset to the default theme

When you first start it, it will appear as the first tab.

If it auto starts when Vegas is restarted, it will then appear as the LAST tab (unless there are also other Custom Commands being loaded automatically at which time it will be ONE of the last tabs)

Mine have always started docked in the Explorer/Project Media/Transitions/Effects/etc… windows. Do you have this code:

On the Repair/Maintenance tab in Excalibur you’ll find the “Reset Pan/Crop” tool.

Here’s what I would do:

1. Delete the “Extra” tracks (Tally, Tally2, and Overlay).
2. If you’re using 6.0.3 – reset the Track Motion keyframe at the beginning of each camera track. For older versions, select all camera events and run the “Reset Pan/Crop” tool.
3. Add the 5th camera and manually sync it.
4. Run the Sync tool with NO markers (now using 3×3 instead of 2×2)

The “Quick Labels” tool in Excalibur can do this.

If you want to do them ALL at once and you want BOTH video and audio:

1. Start a new project
2. Drag that VEG file to the timeline of the new project (nested VEG)
3. Hold down the CTRL key and resize the clip *OR* right-click it and change the “Playback Rate” where you can manually enter an exact percentage.

BTW, you can change the velocity envelope to any percentage you desire by right-clicking the node you want to change and choosing “Set To…” where you can type in an exact percentage.
