Instead of that, click the drop down arrow beside the “ripple” button on the toolbar and change the mode to affect ALL tracks/markers/etc… instead of only affected tracks.

The “clipboard” is a part of Windows. You would then need to go to your paint program and “Paste” to get the picture off the clipboard.

Select all the images, press “G” to group them, then hold down the CTRL key and resize the last one as needed. They’ll all be resized proportionally.

Look at the top of the script. Is there a line that reads:

Yes it can. In fact, Excalibur can also overlap your clips by as many frames as you want. They’d all need to be overlapped the same amount, though.

You would need to use a script. Add a clip on the timeline, put regions where you wanted the sub-clips from, then create a script that would make one sub-clip for each region. Now replace the first clip with the next clip and run the script again to create sub-clips from each region. It would be much faster that way.

If you don’t want to write your own script, the “Extract Good Clips” tool in Excalibur could actually do this for you. Not sure if there’s any free scripts out there that does this particular task.

You need to use the “EXTERNAL” capture app (which captures DV) instead of the “INTERNAL” capture app (which captures HDV).

You may need to go to Options – Preferences if it no longer asks when you pick File – Capture.

Yes you can, just make sure you turn off “Device Control”.
