I would render to match the source clip or to some format that’s as lossless as you want (i.e. size vs compression).

No, it is not because it is a trial. I am unsure why it would be doing it, though.

    Here’s my recommended procedure:

    1. Start a new project
    2. match the project settings to the settings of the clip you want stabilized
    3. Add the clip to be stabilized to the timeline
    4. Add Stabilizer and adjust settings as desired and analyze
    5. Render out a stabilized version of that clip
    6. Now edit using the stabilized clip!

By “well documented”, I meant they have a known history of working well with Vegas.

Titler is a brand new product and is totally different than anything we’ve done before. While it does still have a few bugs (which we are definitely working on), overall it is stable in Vegas and will soon be released for a few other NLE’s. When it’s released for the new NLE’s, the Vegas version will be updated as well with all bug fixes rolled in. Even still, the number of people reporting issues with Titler Pro is a tiny fraction of the number of people with it installed…

November 12, 2011 at 3:59 pm in reply to: New Blue preset crashes

I have discovered that build 111013 properly created presets and you could properly use those presets. In my testing using build 111024, Vegas did not crash but it could no longer save presets. In my case it was able to recall the preset but new presets could not be saved. However, I did not add any strenuous cases to the preset testing.

In reality, you should be using the File – Save As option to save your titles for future use. Then you can use the File – Open option in titler to recall those titles.

[howard simble] “i also find it hard to buy any other product from newblue.”

Why? All of our other products are well documented and work well with Vegas! Titler is something totally different from all the other products and is much more complicated! Plus, issues are being worked on as they come to our attention.

First of all, please make sure you’re on the newer 111024 build (and I expect another new build to be available very soon). Secondly, make sure you’re on the current version of your video driver. Third, we’ve found an issue with some ATI cards that are being worked on. Finally, if you’re having an issue with Titler Pro and don’t report it on NewBlueFX.com, it makes it much hard for the bugs to be worked out as that are unknown…

Actually, I made Excalibur – the first commercial script for Vegas now on Version 6. There’s a lot of functionality shared between the three products.

While updating your video card driver might not help with Vegas itself, it could still help with Titler Pro and should get rid of the message popping up anyway.

Undock the windows you want separate and redock in the proper location. Right now you have everything docked together. Typically the video preview is docked separately on the right and the FX dialog is not docked at all. Click in the column of dots in the upper left and drag away to undock. You could also try View – Windows Layout – Default Layout
